No backgrounds here yet — it needs 6. Until then the page is set to noindex and left out of the sitemap, so it is not asking Google to rank a page with nothing on it. It starts indexing itself as soon as the images land.
Picking one that works
December is the one month of the year when a virtual background is socially expected rather than tolerated, which is why this is the largest search cluster in the whole category.
Two practical notes. Fairy lights and tinsel are high-contrast clutter, which is exactly what confuses the software cutout — expect a shimmering edge around your shoulders unless there is some calm space at head height. And a snowy window scene reads far better at thumbnail size than a detailed room.
Whatever you choose, the setup is the same in every app: Teams, Zoom and Google Meet each hide the option in a different menu, and all three want the same 1920 x 1080 file.
